Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-specific domain extension is really popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing imaginative and appealing domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to give it with coworkers and acquaintances. The TLD can also be used for a website, which is linked to the information sector given the fact that IT is an abbreviation, which is well-known all over the world.

Given the fact that .IT domains are not provided directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administers this domain extension, such a domain can be ordered through a 3rd-party service provider, such as ours. You can register a .IT domain for a period of one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our company and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. The only prerequisite is that the person purchasing such a domain has to be situated in a country from the EU.

As there are existing 2nd-level Domains that include names of various areas and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical areas of any sort are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not offer such third-level domains, though, considering that they can be registered only by locals.
