A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty if you have a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet remarkably simple to work with, and it will enable you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with just a few mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown alphabetically in this section and next to each one you will see a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once more will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you already have a different mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you have created with your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you do not want the feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
